ACCOMODATION INFORMATION

While the accommodations on this tour are carefully selected and fixed in advance, should one not be available due to unforeseen circumstances, a comparable option of the same standard will, of course, be arranged.

 TRAVEL FLEXIBILITY NOTICE

Important: If you’re interested in this tour, please reach out to me directly before booking. The cruise included in the itinerary only runs on specific start dates. You can check the PDF for the current schedule – or simply get in touch with me, and I’ll take care of everything for you. Together, we’ll find the perfect date that fits your travel plans.

TRAVEL GUIDE BOOK

You’ll receive a detailed PDF travel guide with all your bookings, essential information, and a personalized day-by-day itinerary for Ho Chi Minh and Angkor Wat, tailored just for you. It also includes helpful tips to make your journey smoother and more enjoyable, plus my personal recommendations for cafés and restaurants I’ve visited and loved along the way.

VISA

Many nationalities can enter Vietnam visa-free for 15 to 45 days, depending on their passport. It’s best to check the exact requirements in advance based on your nationality.

For Cambodia, a visa is needed but you won’t have to worry about a thing. The crew will handle the entire process for you during the cruise, making it smooth and stress-free.

PACKING

Laundry is possible during the trip. A good pair of shoes is helpful, especially for the Angkor Wat tour. For temple visits, it's best to have comfortable long pants or something to cover your knees as a sign of respect.

DAY BAG

For day tours, a small day bag is useful to carry your essentials. It’s important to bring enough water. In the city, it’s easy to find shops along the way, but in Villages and Angkor Wat it’s a bit different — feel free to bring several bottles and leave them in the car, which is private and always nearby.

WEATHER

The best time to visit Vietnam and Cambodia is generally between October and May, when the weather is more pleasant in most regions.

These months bring plenty of dry days, making it ideal for sightseeing, boat trips, and temple visits. Expect warm temperatures, typically between 24 and 32°C, though it can already get quite hot from End April onwards, especially in southern parts. Rainfall is low, which makes traveling and exploring much more comfortable.

CASH/ATM

Vietnam and Cambodia are countries where local restaurants and markets mostly accept cash payments. ATMs are widely available in both countries, so you’ll have easy access to withdraw money when needed. Since you’ll be crossing borders during your trip, it’s useful to carry some US dollars with you. In Cambodia, paying with dollars is actually more common than using the local currency, which you’ll rarely need.

During the cruise you will be able to change dollars aboard in local currency.

INTERNET & SIM CARDS

SIM cards in Vietnam are available almost everywhere, including directly at the airport upon arrival. If you prefer not to get a physical SIM card, I recommend using an eSIM — you’ll find more detailed information about this option in my travel guide.

Please note: Wi-Fi on the boat are only available while still in Vietnamese waters. Once you enter Cambodia, connectivity is very limited. I recommend setting up an eSIM for Cambodia in advance if you’d like to stay connected during the cruise.

SUNSCREEN

Bring plenty of sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses for your trip – especially during long days outdoors at Angkor, protection from the sun is essential.
