━━ THE JOURNEY
Why this country left a lasting impression on us

Before we came to Laos, we didn’t hear much about it at all. Most people talked about Thailand or Vietnam, and Laos was usually described as the “quiet one in between.” Some even said there wasn’t much to do.
But after spending 2 months here in Early 2025, we realised that the quietness is exactly what makes Laos so special.
Laos moves at its own pace. Life feels slower, softer, and more connected to nature. Mornings begin with mist rising over the Mekong, monks walking silently through small streets, and cafés slowly filling with the smell of strong Lao coffee. Nothing feels rushed, and somehow that changes the way you travel.
The landscapes surprised us the most. One day you’re drifting down rivers between towering limestone cliffs, the next you’re riding a motorbike through endless green mountains or swimming beneath turquoise waterfalls hidden in the jungle. Every region feels different, yet the calm energy of the country is always the same.
And then there are the little moments that stay with you: sunset over the Mekong in Luang Prabang, tiny villages where kids wave as you pass by, night markets glowing with warm lights, and long conversations with locals who welcome you like old friends.
Laos isn’t loud or flashy. It doesn’t try to impress you.
But if you give it time, the way we did, it slowly gets under your skin.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT:
International flights can be arranged upon request, subject to availability. A 10% service fee will apply to cover handling and booking costs.
VISA:
Visa requirements differ depending on your nationality. We strongly recommend verifying the latest entry regulations with official immigration authorities before you travel.
CASH/ATM:
Laos remains largely a cash-based destination, especially in local eateries, street markets, and small family-run shops. While credit cards are accepted in some high-end hotels and tourist-focused businesses, cash is still the preferred method for daily purchases. ATMs are available in most cities and larger towns, making it easy to withdraw local currency when needed.
CANCELLATION, REFUNDS & TRAVEL INSURANCE:
Once bookings have been confirmed, all cancellations will follow the terms and conditions of our local suppliers and service providers. Please note that many partners require advance payments to secure availability, and their refund policies may vary. We will always do our best to recover any refundable amounts wherever possible, but some services may be fully non-refundable depending on supplier conditions.
We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellations, medical emergencies, and unexpected changes. This ensures peace of mind and financial protection in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
TRAVEL GUIDE BOOK
You’ll receive a comprehensive Travel Guide Book in PDF format with all your confirmed bookings, key travel information, and a personalized day-by-day itinerary designed specifically for you.
The guide also includes practical tips to help your trip go smoothly, along with must-see locations, local eateries, hand-picked café recommendations we have personally tried and loved.
We will even connect you with reliable local taxi drivers, guides, and companies we have met during our own travels and fully trust.
WEATHER
The best time to visit Laos is from November to Mars, when the weather is cooler, drier, and more comfortable. During these months, skies are clearer and humidity is lower, making it ideal for sightseeing, river cruises, and outdoor adventures.
From November to February, you’ll enjoy pleasantly cool mornings and evenings, especially in the northern highlands, while March and April bring warmer temperatures and vibrant landscapes, perfect for photography and trekking.
The rainy season (May to October) brings higher humidity and frequent showers, especially from July to September. However, the countryside becomes lush and green, rivers run full, and the scenery is especially beautiful for travelers who don’t mind occasional tropical rain.
INTERNET & SIM CARDS
SIM cards are available almost everywhere, including directly at the airport upon arrival.
If you prefer not to buy a physical SIM card, I recommend using an eSIM from Airalo you’ll find more detailed information about this option in my Travel Guide Book including a 10% discount on their services.
