• INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT:

International flights can be arranged upon request, subject to availability. A 10% service fee will apply to cover handling and booking costs.

• VISA:

Visa requirements differ depending on your nationality. We strongly recommend verifying the latest entry regulations with official immigration authorities before you travel.

• CASH/ATM:

ATMs are widely available in major cities like Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi, and most accept international cards such as Visa and Mastercard. However, in smaller towns and remote mountain regions, especially in Hunza, Skardu, and Fairy Meadows, ATMs can be scarce or unreliable.

It’s best to carry enough cash for your trip north, as withdrawals may not always be possible. Pakistani rupees (PKR) are still preferred for most transactions, particularly in local markets, small hotels, and eateries. Always use ATMs attached to major banks for better security and reliability.

• DRIVER & GUIDE:

During our tours in Pakistan, you’ll be accompanied by a dedicated local driver and guide throughout the journey. Having a driver ensures comfort and safety on long or mountainous routes, while your guide provides valuable local insight, handles logistics, and bridges cultural interactions.

This combination allows you to travel stress-free, focus on the experience, and connect more deeply with the people and places you encounter along the way.

• CANCELLATION, REFUNDS & TRAVEL INSURANCE:

Once bookings have been confirmed, all cancellations will follow the terms and conditions of our local suppliers and service providers. Please note that many partners require advance payments to secure availability, and their refund policies may vary. We will always do our best to recover any refundable amounts wherever possible, but some services may be fully non-refundable depending on supplier conditions.

We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellations, medical emergencies, and unexpected changes. This ensures peace of mind and financial protection in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

• SAFETY:

Pakistan is often misunderstood when it comes to safety, but travelers are usually surprised by how welcoming and secure it feels, especially in popular destinations like Hunza, Skardu, Islamabad, and Lahore. The local people are exceptionally hospitable, and visitors frequently comment on how safe they felt throughout their journey. Use the same precautions you would anywhere else.

With awareness and common sense, Pakistan is a friendly, and deeply rewarding destination that offers far more warmth than worry.

Recommendation: Travelers are encouraged to regularly review and adhere to the official travel advisories and safety guidance provided by their country’s government or foreign affairs authority before and throughout their stay in Pakistan.

• ALTITUDE MOUNTAIN SICKNESS (AMS):

Trekking at high altitude comes with the risk of Altitude Mountain Sickness (AMS), especially when ascending above 2,500 meters. It’s important to recognize early symptoms such as headache, nausea, dizziness, fatigue, or trouble sleeping. If these symptoms persist or worsen, it's essential to rest, descend, and avoid pushing higher.

We recommend to bring with you altitude sickness medication (Diamox or similar)

The best time to visit Pakistan is from April to June and September to November, when the weather is mild, the landscapes are vibrant, and conditions are ideal for both cultural exploration and mountain adventures. During these months, you can enjoy pleasant temperatures in cities like Lahore and Islamabad, while the valleys of Hunza, Swat, and Skardu burst into color, from spring blossoms to golden autumn hues.

Summer (July to August) is the prime trekking season in the northern mountains, with clear skies and accessible high-altitude routes around Hunza and Gilgit-Baltistan. However, lowland regions such as Lahore or Multan can become extremely hot, with temperatures often above 40°C (104°F).

Winter (December to February) brings snow to the mountains and cooler, drier air in the plains. While northern passes may close due to snowfall, this is a wonderful time to experience Pakistan’s cultural heartlands, from Lahore’s Mughal architecture to Karachi’s coastal breeze, with fewer crowds and a relaxed pace.

Overall, spring and autumn are the most rewarding times to experience Pakistan’s contrasts, from its soaring peaks and alpine lakes to its rich heritage, colorful bazaars, and unmatched hospitality.

SIM cards are easy to find in towns and cities across Pakistan, though not always at the airport. Jazz, Zong, and Telenor work well in urban areas, while in the north, around Hunza and Skardu — only SCOM provides limited coverage.
