WHY WE LOVE VIETNAM

Vietnam quickly became one of the countries that touched us the most. We spent four months traveling across it, from the misty mountains of the north to the lush deltas of the south, and were constantly amazed by its beauty and contrasts.

With this short Signature Cruise Tour, step aboard the Ylang, crafted for an exclusive and intimate experience. With only 10 spacious suites featuring panoramic windows and private balconies, guests enjoy breathtaking views of Lan Ha Bay’s emerald coves and hidden lagoons. The Ylang’s elegant design beautifully blends Vietnamese tradition with French colonial style, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere onboard.

Guests can indulge in wellness treatments and yoga sessions, complemented by gourmet dining that artfully combines Vietnamese flavors with Western cuisine.

This 3-day cruise offers a thoughtfully curated itinerary including kayaking through quiet bays, cycling along scenic coastal trails, and visiting remote villages where authentic local culture thrives.

Every moment on the Ylang is designed to immerse you in the peaceful beauty and rich heritage of one of Southeast Asia’s most tranquil and stunning waterways. It’s a luxurious journey that perfectly balances relaxation, culture, and adventure.

3D/2N Cruise: Senses of Lan Ha

Mysterious waters and myriads of islets and limestone formations create the spectacular seascapes and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Halong, which means “descending dragon”, refers to legendary creatures sent down from the heavens to guard against invaders approaching from the sea.

To protect the Vietnamese, the dragons belched out clusters of jewels to create an impenetrable barrier, which has since turned into over 2,000 beautiful limestone islets today dotting the bay.
Dedicated to well-being and serenity, this exceptional, off-the-beaten track three days – two nights’ journey named “Senses of Lan Ha” offers a deep insights into the Lan Ha Bay’s natural beauty, all while providing an active and holistic wellness experience onboard

  • CASH/ATM:

Vietnam remains largely a cash-based destination, especially in local restaurants, markets, and small shops. While credit cards are accepted in larger hotels and some tourist areas, cash is still preferred for everyday transactions. ATMs are widely available in cities and towns, making it easy to withdraw local currency when needed.

Guided tours are typically conducted on a shared basis, meaning other travelers may join the same experience. This allows you to meet other guests and share the activity as part of a small group.

Please note that many partners require advance payments to secure availability, and their refund policies may vary. We will always do our best to recover any refundable amounts wherever possible, but some services may be fully non-refundable depending on supplier conditions.

We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellations, medical emergencies, and unexpected changes. This ensures peace of mind and financial protection in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

LAN HA BAY

Far from the familiar paths of Halong, Lan Ha Bay reveals itself as one of Vietnam’s most exquisite secrets. A landscape of quiet grandeur, where jungle-clad limestone pillars rise from emerald waters, and time seems to dissolve into the mist. This is not simply a destination – it is a rare, refined escape. Reserved for those who seek elegance in every detail, a journey through Lan Ha Bay offers more than scenic beauty. It is a curated voyage into silence, space, and sensation. Glide through hidden lagoons in a kayak, cycle through an untouched valley on Cat Ba Island, and witness life in remote floating villages where the pace of the sea sets the rhythm of the day.

Two vessels accompany this extraordinary experience: Ginger, with her contemporary interpretation of Vietnamese heritage and understated sophistication, and Ylang, a sanctuary of well-being infused with poetic Indochinese design. Both offer just a handful of spacious suites, private balconies, fine cuisine, and personalized service that anticipates every desire.

Whether you join for one night or two, each moment is orchestrated to awaken the senses – from sunrise Tai Chi to candlelit dinners beneath a sky of stars, from quiet spa rituals to the gentle hush of the bay at dusk.

A world apart – intimate, atmospheric, unforgettable.

Lan Ha Bay is a place where luxury is not loud, but deeply felt

WEATHER

The best time to visit North Vietnam is from October to April, when the weather is generally cooler, drier, and more comfortable. During these months, skies are clearer, making it ideal for sightseeing, cruises, and outdoor adventures.

From October to December, you’ll enjoy crisp air and beautiful autumn colors in the mountains, while March to April brings mild temperatures and blooming landscapes — perfect for photography and trekking.

The summer months (May to September) are hot, humid, and rainy, especially in July and August when tropical downpours are common. However, the countryside is lush and green, which can be appealing for travelers who don’t mind occasional rain.

INTERNET & SIM CARDS

SIM cards are available almost everywhere, including directly at the airport upon arrival.

If you prefer not to buy a physical SIM card, I recommend using an eSIM from Airalo you’ll find more detailed information about this option in my Travel Guide Book including a 10% discount on their services.
