Trekking in Nepal was a dream we had long carried. Every day brought breathtaking views towering peaks, deep valleys, and untouched landscapes that filled us with awe and gratitude. But what truly touched us were the cozy tea houses along the trail.


They weren’t just places to rest, they felt like warm havens where we experienced genuine kindness and hospitality that made us feel truly at home, even though we were far from everything familiar. The people we met showed a warmth and openness that’s hard to describe but impossible to forget.


Walking these paths felt like living a dream one we will carry with us forever.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
  • EXPERIENCE:

The trek spans 12 days, featuring the challenging Ganja La Pass crossing at 5,100 m, 3 days of wilderness camping, and sections with fixed ropes up to 100 m. Designed for younger adventure seekers, this trek is more demanding than typical recreational routes and may be less suitable for older or casual trekkers.


  • INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT:

International flights can be arranged upon request, subject to availability. A 10% service fee will apply to cover handling and booking costs.


  • VISA:

Visa requirements differ depending on your nationality. We strongly recommend verifying the latest entry regulations with official immigration authorities before you travel.


  • CASH/ATM:

Nepal remains a predominantly cash-based destination, especially in rural areas, trekking routes, and local markets. While credit cards are increasingly accepted in upscale hotels, restaurants, and shops in Kathmandu and Pokhara, cash is essential for most everyday purchases, transportation, and small eateries.


ATMs are widely available in major cities and tourist hubs, dispensing Nepalese Rupees. However, access is limited in remote mountain regions such as the Everest or Annapurna areas, so we recommend withdrawing enough cash in Kathmandu before starting your trek. Always carry smaller denominations, as change may be difficult to get in villages or for small transactions.


  • ALTITUDE MOUNTAIN SICKNESS (AMS):


Trekking at high altitude comes with the risk of Altitude Mountain Sickness (AMS), especially when ascending above 2,500 meters. It’s important to recognize early symptoms such as headache, nausea, dizziness, fatigue, or trouble sleeping. If these symptoms persist or worsen, it's essential to rest, descend, and avoid pushing higher. To minimize the risk, our itineraries are designed with gradual acclimatization, including rest days and controlled elevation gain. Staying hydrated, avoiding alcohol, and ascending slowly are key to prevention.

Our guides are trained to identify and manage signs of AMS and carry a basic medical kit, including altitude sickness medication (Diamox). Should symptoms arise, your guide will closely monitor your condition and make decisions to prioritize your safety. While AMS can affect anyone, proper pacing, awareness, and the support of our experienced team ensure you are well cared for throughout the journey.


  • SNACKS & DRINKING WATER


Along the Trek, you’ll find familiar treats like Snickers, Mars bars, cookies, and instant noodles available at teahouses and small shops—though prices increase with altitude. However, if you rely on protein bars, energy gels, or specific dietary snacks, we highly recommend bringing them from home, as these are rarely available in remote mountain villages. Having your own stash of high-energy snacks can make a big difference on long trekking days.


Clean drinking water is widely available along Langtang trek, but it’s important to treat all water before drinking. Most guesthouses provide boiled or filtered water for a small fee, and you’ll also find refill stations in some villages promoting eco-friendly trekking. Plastic bottles are discouraged (and sometimes banned in conservation areas), so carrying a reusable water bottle or hydration bladder is essential. For added safety and flexibility, we recommend bringing water purification tablets, a SteriPEN, or a portable filter. Natural water sources like streams are common, especially in lower elevations, but always purify before drinking. Staying hydrated is key—especially at altitude—so plan to carry at least 2 to 3 liters with you each day.


  • CANCELLATION, REFUNDS & TRAVEL INSURANCE:

Once bookings have been confirmed, all cancellations will follow the terms and conditions of our local suppliers and service providers. Please note that many partners require advance payments to secure availability, and their refund policies may vary. We will always do our best to recover any refundable amounts wherever possible, but some services may be fully non-refundable depending on supplier conditions.


We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellations, medical emergencies, and unexpected changes. This ensures peace of mind and financial protection in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

WEATHER

The best time to trek Nepal is from March to May and September to November, when the weather is dry, skies are clear, and mountain views are at their best. Spring brings colorful rhododendron blooms, while autumn offers crisp air and excellent visibility after the monsoon.


INTERNET & SIM CARDS

SIM cards are available almost everywhere in Nepal, including directly at the airport upon arrival. If you prefer not to buy a physical SIM card, you can easily use an eSIM from Airalo, you’ll find more details and a 10% discount in our Travel Guide Book.


Keep in mind that during treks, especially in remote areas, Wi-Fi and mobile network coverage are often limited. It’s common to spend several days without internet access, so plan to stay offline and fully immerse yourself in the mountain experience.
