━━ THE JOURNEY
Why this country left a lasting impression on us

Malaysia is one of those countries that truly surprises you the more time you spend there. What we love most is its incredible diversity, not just in landscapes, but in culture, food, and people. You can wake up surrounded by lush jungle, wander through colonial streets by midday, and end your day on a tropical island watching the sunset.
Every corner feels like a meeting point of worlds: Malay, Chinese, and Indian influences blend beautifully, creating a culture that’s as rich as its cuisine. And if there’s one thing that truly stayed with us, it’s the food, especially in Penang. The island’s flavors are simply unmatched: sizzling satay on the streets, fragrant laksa bowls, crispy roti, and endless aromas filling every market. Penang’s food scene is a masterpiece of taste and tradition, and it’s where we found some of the most memorable meals of our travels.
We’re also deeply drawn to the kindness of the people and the calm, welcoming energy that follows you everywhere. Malaysia might not always be loud or flashy, but that’s what makes it so special, it’s a place where authenticity still thrives and every journey feels deeply personal.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT:
International flights can be arranged upon request, subject to availability. A 10% service fee will apply to cover handling and booking costs.
VISA:
Visa requirements differ depending on your nationality. We strongly recommend verifying the latest entry regulations with official immigration authorities before you travel.
CASH/ATM:
Malaysia and Singapore are generally more card-friendly than many neighboring countries, though cash is still useful in certain situations.
In Malaysia, credit and debit cards are widely accepted in hotels, restaurants, and shopping centers, especially in major cities like Kuala Lumpur and Penang. However, cash remains important in local markets, hawker stalls, and rural areas — particularly on islands such as the Perhentians, where many guesthouses, dive centers, and small eateries operate on a cash-only basis, and ATMs are limited.
In Singapore, card payments are accepted almost everywhere, from hotels and restaurants to public transport and convenience stores, making it one of the most cashless destinations in Southeast Asia. Mobile payment options like Apple Pay, Google Pay, and GrabPay are also widely used, though carrying a small amount of Singapore Dollars (SGD) is still handy for local food stalls or small vendors that may prefer cash.
GUIDED TOURS:
Guided tours are typically conducted on a shared basis, meaning other travelers may join the same experience. This allows you to meet other guests and share the activity as part of a small group.
If a private tour is included or available as an upgrade, it will be clearly indicated in your itinerary or can be arranged upon request (subject to availability and additional cost).
CANCELLATION, REFUNDS & TRAVEL INSURANCE:
Once bookings have been confirmed, all cancellations will follow the terms and conditions of our local suppliers and service providers. Please note that many partners require advance payments to secure availability, and their refund policies may vary. We will always do our best to recover any refundable amounts wherever possible, but some services may be fully non-refundable depending on supplier conditions.
We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellations, medical emergencies, and unexpected changes. This ensures peace of mind and financial protection in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
TRAVEL GUIDE BOOK
You’ll receive a comprehensive Travel Guide Book in PDF format with all your confirmed bookings, key travel information, and a personalized day-by-day itinerary designed specifically for you.
The guide also includes practical tips to help your trip go smoothly, along with must-see locations, local eateries, hand-picked café recommendations we have personally tried and loved.
We will even connect you with reliable local taxi drivers, guides, and companies we have met during our own travels and fully trust.
WEATHER
The best time to visit Malaysia and Singapore is from March to October, when the weather is generally warm, sunny, and pleasant across most destinations. This period offers ideal conditions for sightseeing, cultural exploration, and relaxing on the beach.
While Kuala Lumpur and Penang can experience brief tropical showers year-round, they are typically short and followed by sunshine. The Perhentian Islands are at their best between March and October, with calm seas perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and diving; most resorts close during the monsoon season from November to February. Singapore enjoys a tropical climate all year, but the driest and most comfortable months are usually between February and September, making it a great destination anytime.
INTERNET & SIM CARDS
SIM cards are available almost everywhere, including directly at the airport upon arrival.
If you prefer not to buy a physical SIM card, I recommend using an eSIM from Airalo you’ll find more detailed information about this option in my Travel Guide Book including a 10% discount on their services.
